Sialography: From 1 Different Sources


n. a technique for X-ray examination of the salivary glands. A series of X-ray images is taken after introducing contrast medium through a cannula into the ducts of the *parotid or *submandibular glands in the mouth. It enables the presence of degenerative disease or stones blocking the ducts to be detected.
