n. an abnormal red patch of skin that occurs particularly in the mouth or on the genitalia and is precancerous. Erythroplasia of Queyrat is a nonkeratinizing *carcinoma in situ affecting the glans of the penis or the inner surface of the prepuce. It is ten times more likely to progress to invasive squamous cell carcinoma than is *Bowen’s disease of the penis. Compare leukoplakia.
